Strength

Strength makes everything easier. We lose strength as we age unless we do something about it. Strength is earned, not given. Strength training can help manage chronic conditions, sharpen your thinking ability, build stronger bones, manage your weight and improve joint health. HIIT & Lift & Total Body Toning classes include strength components to harden, firm and tone your body.

cardio

Cardiovascular health is essential for optimal health. Total Body Toning, HIIT & Lift and HYDRO classes include HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) aerobic work to enable you to build a stronger heart, reduce blood pressure, improve mood and manage weight.

core

Your core is not just your abs. Your core helps you balance, can help prevent back pain, improve posture, increases your power and performance. Total Body Toning and HIIT & Lift classes include significant core training elements so you can start deriving the benefits of greater core strength today.

What Our class members have said...

Great place to train. Every week the training is different. Totally comfortable environment and Stuart genuinely wants you to get something from each session. Couldn't recommend Cross Functional Fitness enough! So glad I made the decision to start, instead of sitting on the couch thinking about it.

Ruairi Heatley

The Total Body Toning classes are unique in the industry and cater for everyone's needs in the class - the craic is always good too! Stuart is dedicated to providing a professional gym experience, he is knowledgeable and passionate about what he does and I would highly recommend.

David Craughwell

I started training at Cross Functional Fitness in November & I'm so glad I did. Stuart and Jack made me feel so welcome, as did all the members! I'm not the biggest fan of cardio, but after a couple of months I'm starting to enjoy it. The strength class is my fav. A great gym with a nice, friendly vibe.

Lorraine Farrell

The perfect place for improving fitness, gaining strength and seeing friendly faces each week. Stuart and Jack run great classes with well designed programmes that can be followed by all fitness levels. Would highly recommend.

Olivia Best

Eugene Kinney

Under Stuart's guidance, he makes it suitable for all levels of fitness, thereby making it comfortable for everyone. His subtle words of encouragement make you want to keep going. I would have no hesitation in recommending CrossFit with Stuart at the wheel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do classes start exactly on the hour?
A: We will start our mobility and warm up protocols on the hour which are an important part of our classes to prime us to move at a higher intensity.

Q: If I miss a week, can I do extra classes in the other weeks?
A: We understand. Life is busy. If you happen to miss a week or two because of work, travel, family commitments or holidays or sickness, you can absolutely do extra classes in the other weeks so you don’t miss out.

Q: How does the pricing work?
A: The classes are priced to give greater value to those who commit the most to them. Classes like this can only run because of the dedication of the class members. We want to honour those who contribute the most to the classes by giving more value. The more classes you sign up for, the less you pay per class.

Q: I’m not sure how the packages work. How many classes can I do each week?
A: You get class credits for the month according to your selected subscription before it recurs. You can decide how often you want to train each month and choose the package accordingly.

Q: I’m a bit nervous about trying new things on my own. Is it okay if I bring a friend?
A: You’re very welcome to bring a friend. Choose the “Visitor Class Pass” option and book a class through the app without committing to anything further until you see if you like it. (We’re confident you’ll love it!)

Q: How do I book in for classes / How do I pay?
A: Payments and bookings are done through an app we use called “Push Press.” You can download this on Android or Apple. Simply hit the preferred button above to choose your package and initiate the sign up process.

Q: What is the average age of class members? I don’t want to feel out of place.
A: Without doing the exact math, ages range from early Late Teens – 50s. But the classes are suitable for 18 – 60s. Everything can be scaled according to your own level.

Q: What if I have to stop the classes. How do I cancel? Is there a minimum sign up time?
A: There is no minimum sign up time. If you have to stop for whatever reason, just let us know before the next payment is due and we will cancel it on the system.

Q: I don’t think I’d be fit enough to start training in a class setting. What are my options?
A: Every class can be scaled to your current level so you don’t need to worry about how fit you are to begin with. Everyone is at a different stage in their fitness and everyone is there to support each other. If you are still apprehensive about starting to train in a group the other options are 1-2-1 Personal Training and Small Group Personal Training. These options are more private and the programme is tailored to you personally.

Q: Are these classes suitable for pre / post natal ladies?
A: Although these classes can be tailored, not all our trainers are qualified to serve per / post natal women. As every lady’s experience with pregnancy is different, I’d recommend a more tailored approach such as our 1-2-1 Personal Training service where one of our qualified trainers will be able to guide you through your workouts and make any necessary adjustments as you go.

Q: How do payments work?
A: Payments are taken on sign up and then on the same date every month.

Q: I need to take a break for a while. How do I cancel?
We’re really sorry to see you go. If you need to take a break for a while, simply drop us an email or text message and we’ll take care of the rest.
